All tracks here feature backings from the orchestra of Bebo Valdes -- and singers include Omara Portuondo, Celeste Mendoza, Pio Leyva, Pacho Alonso, Rolando Laserie, and Amado Guapacha Borcela -- vocalists who were helping move Cuban music into much more modern territory at the time, with a mix of soul, emotion, and class that's simply wonderful.
