French President Nicolas Sarkozy (R) and his Armenian counterpart Serge Sarkisyan (C) plant a tree during a ceremony at the Tsitsernakaberd Armenian Genocide Memorial Museum in Yerevan on October 6, 2011. Sarkozy arrived in Armenia on October 6 for the first stage of a two-day swing through the Caucasus that will also take him to Azerbaijan and Georgia. He visited the Genocide Memorial Museum to pay his respects to Armenians killed by the Ottomans in 1915.
